We are incorporating some yoga into the #smallandsimplechallenge with the Garland pose. Sitting for long periods of time can tighten the thighs, hip flexors and groin which can cause back pain and poor posture. This pose can help open the hips and create better mobility and posture. This exercise can be difficult, especially if you’re doing it correctly so support yourself by holding onto something stable, if needed. Try your best to keep your heels flat on the floor. Start by holding this position for 15 to 30 seconds. As you get stronger you’ll be able to lengthen the duration. Although this may be less exciting than other challenges be sure to give it a try.
